SmartEnergy subscription offer is subject to change without notice. Available to residential homeowner customers in Montréal Island, Laval, Québec City, Lévis and Rimouski who have not subscribed to TELUS SmartEnergy in the last 24 months and are not currently subscribed to the Hilo program from Hydro-Québec. Hydro Westmount customers are not eligible, as they are not Hydro-Québec customers. Offer not available to customers who do not own their residence or are subject to a bailment agreement. Your Hydro-Québec contract number is required for this offer, and it will be shared with Hydro-Québec to confirm offer eligibility and for energy savings analysis. Participation in TELUS energy savings events is mandatory and you should participate in as many events as possible. If you decline more than 10 events, TELUS may cancel your SmartEnergy subscription and require you to return your thermostat(s) to TELUS in good condition within 14 days, in accordance with the instructions provided by TELUS. Thermostats and other devices installed under this offer are not eligible for the Hilo "Bring Your Own Device" cash bonus program from Hydro-Québec. You must sign up for a monthly TELUS SmartEnergy subscription, which auto-renews. A $12/mo discount will be applied to the SmartEnergy subscription for 24 months, provided the eligibility requirements are met and maintained. Regular pricing (currently $12/mo) applies at month 25. For customers with electric baseboard heating, the offer includes the rental of up to 9 Sinopé 3000W thermostats or 8 Sinopé 4000W thermostats, or a combination of both determined by the electrician during installation, at no additional cost (equivalent value of $1,125). For customers with central heating, the offer includes a rental of up to 2 Sensi Lite thermostats at no additional cost (equivalent value of $258). Thermostat rentals under this offer must be added to your cart at the time of TELUS SmartEnergy subscription sign-up. The regular price of the rental devices are: Sinopé 3000W: $125, Sinopé 4000W: $140, Sensi Lite: $129. Device rental discounts cannot be combined with other offers, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. All prices exclude applicable taxes. The thermostats must also be paired with the paired in the TELUS SmartHome+ application, and enrolled in TELUS energy savings events. If you cancel your subscription prior to installation; or if the thermostats have not been installed, paired in the TELUS SmartHome+ application, and enrolled in TELUS energy savings events within 30 days of subscription activation; or if your subscription is otherwise cancelled, the thermostats must be returned to TELUS in good condition within 14 days, in accordance with the instructions provided by TELUS. Otherwise, the cost of the devices will be charged to your account.
TELUS energy savings events: Between December 1, 2025, and March 31, 2027, TELUS will automatically adjust the temperature of your thermostats during Hydro-Québec winter peak periods. There may be up to 60 TELUS energy savings events during this period. TELUS will notify you through the TELUS SmartHome+ application the day before each TELUS energy savings event. Participation in Hydro-Québec's Flex D rate is not mandatory for this offer but recommended for energy cost savings.
Offer subject to change without notice. Points will be added to your account within 10 business days after the thermostats are installed and paired with the TELUS SmartHome+ application. To be eligible to receive the points, your TELUS Rewards account must be activated within 30 days of installation.

To help you realize maximum savings, you must:

- Respond to all energy savings events to earn maximum rewards
- Leverage all energy savings automations prompted in the app
- Incorporate tips & savings recommendations into your daily life
- Connect the number of devices / appliances you selected to a smart plug. (Smart thermostats to control all of the heating and cooling in your home. Typically natural gas heated homes have 1 smart thermostat on the property and electrically heated homes have one per room)

The savings are based on the following:
1) average energy rates in the province selected,
2) average energy consumption data in the selected household type,
3) average energy consumption data in the selected heating type,
4) average savings from the devices mentioned as part of the calculator,
5) average rewards customers can earn by participating in Energy events.

The savings do NOT account for: size of home, age of home, level of insulation or number of occupants.

Savings are not guaranteed and can greatly differ among customers based on several factors, including without limitation the level of engagement with the app, number of devices in the home and other factors outside of TELUS’ control. The more smart devices you connect under management the greater the opportunity you have to achieve savings.
Included in the SmartEnergy subscription, one mangrove tree will be planted for every 3 months of continuous subscription. Upon completing a full year of subscription, a total of 4 mangrove trees will be planted per subscriber. The planting location for these trees is Mteza Creek, Kenya. This commitment to tree planting is subject to compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Trees planted are limited to 4 trees per year per customer for every year a customer subscribes to SmartEnergy. This initiative may be changed or withdrawn at any time, without notice.
