Instructions on how to set up your Smart Hub Indoor Unit
On the bottom of the unit, lift the plastic covering above the image of the SIM card and the word
Reset
.
Insert the SIM card. The SIM card goes in the first notch/cut edge on the far right-side (see the image above showing the SIM card slot), with the gold contacts facing down and the SIM card numbers facing up.
Note
: Please have your hub lying down with the power cord to the left and all the words (e.g. Wi-Fi networks) should be right-side up.
When inserting the SIM card, there should be a "soft clicking" sound locking it in to place as the SIM card slot is spring-loaded. Once it's in place, the SIM card will be flush.
After the SIM card is inserted, please plug your smart hub power cord into a power source.
Wait for the lights to come on. There should be blue or white lights above the
Power
,
Wi-Fi
and
Network
LEDs.
Note
: If the lights are red, the SIM card may have not been inserted correctly. Please take out the SIM card and try inserting it into the slot again. If that doesn't work, please

Do I need to have an internet connection before installation?
No. However, please note that if there is no TELUS cell phone coverage or poor cell phone reception at your location, the TELUS Indoor Smart Hub will not work or function properly. Please
