Your cellular service is activated through your SIM card which can be activated through your carriers account portal or through contacting your carrier directly; without it you cannot use cellular features. Current Step: 1 - Locate the finger notch on the back of your device.
Don't touch the gold contacts on your SIM card. That could damage the card. If you’re using a new SIM card, you can activate it by calling your carrier.
  1. 1 - Locate the finger notch on the back of your device.
    • Note: You must have a nano SIM card inserted in your phone to place calls, access the internet, download apps and share pictures over your carrier's network.
  2. 2 - With your device turned off, remove the phone's back cover using the finger notch.
  3. 3 - Remove the battery using the finger notch.
  4. 4 - Slide the micro SIM card in or out of the slot with the gold contacts facing the front of the phone.
    • Note: A nano SIM card may already be inserted in your phone.
  5. 5 - Replace the battery, matching the contacts on the battery with the contacts in the battery slot.
  6. 6 - Replace the back cover, pressing on each corner to make sure it's secure.
  7. 7 - You've completed the steps!
