Before proceeding, check that your recording schedule is not set to record only during specific times or that the video device was not rebooted. Recording gaps happen when there was loss of power to the camera or if the video device was rebooted. The following steps will not recover any previous footage, but should help prevent further gaps from happening.
Remove the power from the video camera
Reconnect the video device to power. Wait for the device’s LED to return to solid green
Verify live video and 24/7 Onboard recording playback
Remove and re-insert the SD card
Locate the SD card slot and remove the SD card
Re-insert the SD card by pressing the card into the slot until it clicks into place
Wait at least 5 minutes for Onboard Recording to restart
Verify live video and 24/7 Onboard recording playback
Caution:
Reformatting the SD card permanently removes all existing stored footage. If any footage needs to be saved, download it prior to reformatting the SD card.
