TELUS Online Security continuously monitors hard-to-find anonymous websites and forums (“the dark web”) for your personal information, which may include email addresses, passwords, and credit card numbers.  This info can be used to access your accounts or impersonate you on things like loan applications. Whenever your info is found to be exposed, we’ll notify you so that you can act before any damage is done.

You can enter the following details to be monitored:

• Up to 5 email addresses

• Up to 5 phone numbers

• Up to 5 addresses

• Your driver's license

• Your mother’s maiden name

• Up to 10 bank accounts

• Up to 10 credit cards

• Up to 5 insurance policies (e.g. provincial health card, life insurance policy)

Take advantage of the Social Media Monitoring feature in your TELUS Online Security plan (Complete and Ultimate only) by linking your social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn) to your Norton account. This feature will monitor your linked accounts and notify you of any suspicious activity, such as changes to your account settings, risky links or inappropriate content.⁶

Our Standard, Complete, and Ultimate plans give you access to your credit score and report.⁷𝄒 ⁸ We also monitor your credit file through leading bureaus to help prevent fraud, notifying you whenever there are key changes or suspicious activity. We monitor your credit, banking, and investment accounts to detect unusual activity, such as large cash withdrawals and balance transfers. If anyone has gained illegal access to your accounts, you’ll know.

This is an additional alert to our existing transaction monitoring alerts to help prevent lender fraud.

When you finance the purchase of a product or a service under a credit purchase model that allows you to pay later, such as installment payment plans, retail financing plans, installment loans, credit card installment plans, retail credit services etc.; the Buy Now Pay Later alert feature will monitor your transactions on all your linked financial accounts and alert if purchases, transactions, cash withdrawals in large amounts, or any other unusual activity is detected.

This feature is available for Ultimate plan customers.
