Learn about two-factor authentication (2FA) for your TELUS SmartHome Security account, including how to set it up, instructions to reset it and more.
What is two-factor authentication?
Setting up two-factor authentication (also known as “2FA”) is like using two locks on your door. The 2FA security process makes it much more difficult for an intruder to access your app and security settings, keeping your system and your property even more secure.
How two-factor authentication works
Whenever you sign into your system from a new or untrusted device, 2FA verifies your identity with your password and a one-time code using your preferred method (text, email or an authenticator app). This ensures that access to your account is secure.
