Setting the phone to silent

Huawei P20 on Android 10.0.0

Silent mode will quiet your device's notifications. When your device is in silent mode, it will not make a sound to notify you of incoming notifications. You can set it to vibrate to alert you to incoming notifications with vibrations instead of sound.

  1. Step 1/4

    From the Home screen, tap Settings.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  2. Step 2/4

    Tap Sounds & vibration.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  3. Step 3/4

    Tap or slide the Silent mode switch to ON.

    Note: You can also use the Volume buttons to lower the volume to silent.

    The indicator is towards the right.
