Current Step: 1 - With your device turned off, remove the phone's back cover by lifting from the finger notch.
Don't touch the gold contacts on your SIM card. That could damage the card. If you’re using a new SIM card, you can activate it by calling your carrier.
  1. 1 - With your device turned off, remove the phone's back cover by lifting from the finger notch.
    • Note: You must have a micro SIM card inserted in your phone to place calls, access the internet, download apps and share pictures over your carrier's network.
  2. 2 - Remove the battery using the finger notch.
  3. 3 - Slide the micro SIM card in or out of the slot with the gold contacts facing the front of the phone.
    • Note: A micro SIM card may already be inserted in your phone.
  4. 4 - Replace the battery, matching the contacts on the battery with the contacts in the battery slot.
  5. 5 - Replace the back cover, pressing on each corner to make sure it's secure.
  6. 6 - You've completed the steps!
