Resetting network settings

If you are having trouble connecting to the Internet you may need to reset your network connections. Resetting your network connections will disconnect any Bluetooth devices connected to your device and disconnect your device from any Wi-Fi networks it is connected to.

  1. Note: If you're having messaging, email, or internet connectivity issues, resetting your network settings may help.

    From the Home screen, tap Settings.

    The indicator is towards the right.
  3. Step 2/7

    Scroll to and tap General.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  4. Step 3/7

    Scroll to and tap Transfer or Reset iPhone.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  5. Step 4/7

    Tap Reset.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  6. Step 5/7

    Tap Reset Network Settings.

    Note: If a device passcode has been set, you will need to enter it.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  7. Step 6/7

    Tap Reset Network Settings again.

    Note: Resetting your network settings will reset all your Wi-Fi, cellular, and VPN settings.
