Activating Wi-Fi calling

Apple iPhone 7 on iOS 15.4.0

You can use Wi-Fi calling to make and receive calls in areas with limited or no cellular connectivity. If this option is not present on your device, or cannot be enabled, your carrier's network or your specific cellular plan might not support the feature.

  1. Note: Wi-Fi Calling allows you to make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi network if cellular is not available.

    From the Home screen, tap Settings.

    The indicator is towards the right.
  3. Step 2/7

    Scroll to Phone.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  4. Step 3/7

    Tap Phone.

    The indicator is towards the top.
  5. Step 4/7

    Tap Wi-Fi Calling.

    The indicator is in the center.
  6. Step 5/7

    Tap or slide the Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone switch to ON.

    The indicator is in the top right.
  7. Step 6/7

    Tap Enable.

    Note: If necessary, follow onscreen instructions to enter an address for use in the event of an emergency call. You can update this address at any time.

    The indicator is in the center.
