Setting up mobile hotspot

Set up your device as a Mobile Hotspot so you can share your data connection with other devices. Your device will create a Wi-Fi hotspot with its data connection. Other devices will be able to connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot.

  1. Note: Use Mobile Hotspot to share your internet connection with other devices. You'll be charged for the data used by all devices connected to your hotspot. To learn more, see our Mobile Hotspot FAQs.

    From the Home screen, drag down the Notification Panel.

    Drag down the Quick settings panel.

    Touch and hold the Mobile Hotspot icon.

    The indicator is in the bottom left.
  5. Step 4/11

    Tap or slide the Mobile Hotspot switch to ON.

    Note: If necessary, tap OK to turn off Wi-Fi.

    Tap Set up Mobile Hotspot.

    Note: The configure screen lets you choose the type of security you want. You can also find your device password here.

    Tap the Security field.

    The indicator is in the center.

    Select your preferred security type.

    The indicator is in the center.

    Tap the Password field.

    The indicator is in the center.

    Enter your new password.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.

    Tap Save.
