Using voice actions

Using your Google Assistant, you can use voice commands to perform certain actions like sending an email or starting a phone call hands free.

  1. Note: For this simulation, we're showing how to send an email. However, you can use your voice to search the web or your device, get directions, create a calendar event, set an alarm and more.

    Press and hold the Google Assistant button on the left side of your device.

    The indicator is towards the left.

    Speak "Email" followed by a contact's name or an email address.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.

    When prompted, speak the message you'd like to send.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.

    If you are satisfied with your message, speak "Send" when prompted.

    Note: You can also edit the message to your liking before you send it.
