Managing data usage

LG G5 on Android 8.0.0

Discover how to manage cellular data usage on your device. You can set up a data limit or a data warning on your device to help you manage your data usage and prevent overages.

  1. The indicator is towards the right.

    From the Home screen, tap Settings.

    Tap Mobile data.

    Note: From this screen, you can limit your data usage and set up alerts for when you're reaching your data usage limits for the current month.

    Tap or slide the Limit mobile data usage switch to ON.

    Tap OK.

    Drag the warning bar to your prefered data usage warning.

    Note: You can also turn off mobile data when you're in areas where you don't want to use any data.

    Tap the Usage Cycle dropdown.

    Note: We recommend you match this date to the date your carrier starts to more accurately manage your data.
