YouTube has a comprehensive Help page for watching YouTube on TV.
We're always working to improve your Optik TV experience and we're currently working on eliminating a few issues you may encounter while using YouTube. In the meantime, here are our suggestions:
Issue | Notes and solution |
There are issues with compatibility between the YouTube app and certain TV models (such as the LG UH8500). We are currently working on resolving this issue with our partners. | You may be able to continue using the YouTube app by turning off/on your TV or unplugging/replugging the HDMI cord. |
Your screen may freeze when scrolling through the suggested videos from the playback screen. | We suggest re-entering the video if you encounter this problem. |
You may briefly see a white screen before launching the YouTube main screen. | You should be able to use the app without issues. This white screen is only temporary and will be corrected shortly. |
You may experience some other issues with the YouTube app. | We suggest you reboot your Optik TV box by holding down the power button for 10 seconds. |
