What is 3G and why do I need this upgrade?
3G, or third generation, is a wireless communication technology used by major cellular carriers that enables mobile devices to access the internet. Since its introduction, newer technologies such as 4G, 4G LTE and 5G have emerged, offering even faster data transfer speeds worldwide. The 3G network will be shutting down by Spring 2025, so it's essential to upgrade before this date to guarantee that your security system remains fully operational and connected. The sooner you book, the more options you’ll have for choosing a date and time that fits your schedule.
Will there be any interruptions or risks during the transition?
During the transition, there should be no interruptions or risks to your security if you upgrade your system promptly. Upgrading before the 3G network shuts down will ensure that your security system remains fully operational and connected to our Central Monitoring Station.
