Create a guest network (Boost Wi-Fi 6)

Create a guest network on Boost Wi-Fi 6 to securely share internet access with friends.

A guest network is a secondary network that provides secure internet access for your guests. This network can have a different password from your main network. Devices connected to the guest network will be able to access the internet, but not other shared files, printers, network storage, etc.

Guest network setup (Boost Wi-Fi 6)

Step 1
:

  1. Open a web browser, such as Edge or Chrome.

  2. In the top address bar, type 192.168.1.254. Then press

    .

Step 2
: Remove the top cover of your Network Access Hub (NAH) to locate your NAH login credentials.

  1. Remove the screw from the NAH cover.

  2. Take a picture of the label with the login name and password for easy reference.

Step 3
:

  1. On the login page, enter the username "admin".

  2. Enter the admin password on the device label of the TELUS Network Access Hub.

Step 4
:

  1. Navigate to
    Overview
    >
    Connected Devices
    page.

  2. Find the IP address of the Boost Wi-Fi 6 (Boostv2.1).

Step 5
:

  1. Open another browser tab or window, In the top address bar, type the IP address of the Boost Wi-Fi 6. Then press
    Enter
    .

Step 6
:

  1. On the login page, enter the user name “admin”.

  2. Enter the admin password that’s at the bottom of the Boost v2 under the removable cover.

Step 7
: To enable or disable the Guest Network:

  1. Click on the
    Wi-Fi
    option on the left menu.

  2. Click on
    Guest network
    along the top.

  3. On the "Status" drop-down menu select
    Enabled
    , enter your preferred SSID and password and click on
    Save
    .
