Instructions for connecting an external hard drive
What you need: A USB cable, an external hard drive (EHD), and a TELUS Satellite receiver.
For additional recording space, you can connect an external hard drive to your TELUS Satellite receiver.
Note:
This process completely
erases
the hard drive on the external drive you are connecting. To avoid losing any data,
back up your drive
before connecting it to your TELUS Satellite receiver.
Connect your external hard drive to a power source
Connect your external hard drive to your receiver using a USB cable.
Note
: A USB port is located on both the
front
and
back
of your receiver.
If this your first time connecting the hard drive to a receiver, a
formatting
message appears.
Wait
for this message to disappear.
Your external hard drive is now connected and ready for use.
