How to record and cancel recordings with the TELUS TV+ remote
Press the
rec
button once to set a single episode recording.
Press the

button twice to set a series recording.

button to open the recordings manager and view your existing recordings or view and manage your scheduled recordings
How to set recordings from your TELUS TV Digital Box
One-click recording setup
There are six different locations from where you can set a recording by pressing the rec button on your remote control.
From the Guide, highlight the program you want to record and select the
rec
button on the remote.
From the live guide (accessed by pressing the left or right arrows on your remote during live playback).
From the Live TV screen.
From the episode details screen.
From the live player (for a show in progress).
From the
Ways to watch
panel for a program available on multiple channels.
Using the on-screen recording icon
You can also set a recording by pressing the on-screen ‘Record’ icon when it is available. The icon will show three different states based on whether you are recording a single program or a series.
State 1: Set recording (recording is not set)
State 2: Loading (recording is being set)
State 3: Edit recording (recording has been set)

How to schedule recording for a single program or a series
The following instructions show you how to set a recording when the
Record
icon is visible on the screen.
Steps to record a single program on your TELUS TV Digital Box and TELUS TV+ browser
On the episode detail screen, select
Record
.
Once set, you will see a
Recording set
message in the top-right corner of your screen and the
Record
icon will display a red circle and the label underneath will switch from
Record
to
Edit
.
Steps to record a single program on your TELUS TV+ app
Navigate to the episode detail screen and select
Record
.
You’ll also see a
Recording set
pop-up message after the recording is set.
Note
: On both the TELUS TV Digital Box and the TELUS TV+ app, a recording can also be set during live playback by pressing or selecting the
Record
button.
Steps to record a series on your TELUS TV Digital Box and TELUS TV+ browser
On the series detail screen, select
Rec series
.
Once selected, the icon will display three red circles and the icon underneath will switch from
Rec series
to
Edit series
. You will also see a
Series recording set
message (which indicates that the series recording is successfully set) in the top-right corner of your screen.
How to find and play your recordings
There are three ways you can find and play recorded programs:
From the
Recent recordings
row on your home screen.
In the
Recent recordings
row, please note that:
Recordings are sorted by date with the newest recordings shown first.
Up to 20 recordings will be displayed.
Only single programs or episodes from a series will be displayed.
If you're watching using your TELUS TV Digital Box, a second way you can find and play your recorded programs is from the
Recordings Manager
. Below are steps to play from the
Recordings Manager
:
On the
Home
screen, select
Recordings
in the top menu bar or press and hold the
rec
button on your remote. You will see a list of your recorded programs. To play a recording, highlight your choice and select
OK
.
Select
Play recording
to start your program.
Lastly, you can also navigate to
Scheduled
to view or edit your upcoming recordings.
How to cancel a scheduled recording
To cancel a scheduled recording of a single program on your TELUS TV Digital Box or on the TELUS TV+ browser, follow the steps below:
On the episode detail screen, select
Edit rec
.
Select
Cancel
.
A pop-up message will appear asking for confirmation that you want to cancel the recording. Select
Cancel recording
.
Once selected, the
Edit
icon will revert back to an open circle and the label underneath will switch from
Edit
back to
Record
.
You will also see a
Recording cancelled
notification in the top-right corner of your screen.
To cancel a series being recorded on your TELUS TV Digital Box or TELUS TV+ browser, follow the steps below:
On the series detail screen, select
Edit series
.
On the
Record settings: series
panel, select
Cancel series
.
A pop-up message will appear asking for confirmation that you want to cancel the series recording. Select
Cancel recording
.
Once selected, the
Edit series
icon will change back to three open circles and the label underneath will switch from
Edit series
back to
Rec series
.
You will also see a
Series recording cancelled
notification in the top-right corner of your screen.
To cancel a recording on the TELUS TV+ app, follow the steps below:
On the
Recordings Manager
tab, swipe from right to left on the recording you wish to cancel.
After swiping on the recorded program, a pop-up confirmation will appear.
Select
Cancel
.
Note
: This can only be done for a recording that has yet to start or for recordings that are in progress. This cannot be done for recordings that have already been completed.
How to delete recordings
To delete a single program from the Recordings Manager on the TELUS TV Digital Box or TELUS TV+ browser, follow the steps below:
On the
Home
screen, select
Recordings
or press and hold the
rec
button on your remote. You will see a list of your recorded programs. To delete a recording, highlight your choice and select
OK
.
Select
Delete
after choosing the recording you wish to delete.
On the confirmation message, select
Delete recording
.
You will be returned to the
Recordings Manager
where you will see a
Recording deleted
notification in the top-right corner.
To delete a recording on the TELUS TV+ app, follow the steps below:
Swipe one of the recorded programs from right to left to prompt a delete action.
After swiping on the recorded program, a pop-up confirmation will then appear.
Note
: This can also be done with a series, allowing users to delete the whole series
You will then see another pop-up confirmation appear confirmation to confirm the action. Select
Delete recording
to delete the recording. This action cannot be undone.
Note
: Only recordings that are complete can be deleted.
How can I see the status of my recordings?
The status of your recordings is available in the
Recordings
tab. The interface will show the run-time of the recorded program, as well as the date on which the recording will expire.
An additional prompt will also appear once the recorded program is within three days of expiry.
Note
: All recordings will expire 90 days after being recorded.
