What we do
We support established, independent Canadian and Indigenous filmmakers to produce compelling, locally reflective, social purpose documentaries and documentary series set in B.C. and Alberta. We work with producers who have an authentic connection to the story they seek to tell and prioritize representation in front of and behind the camera.

Where we do it
Our stories have global resonance, but they start close to home. All the stories we support are locally reflective of and relevant to communities across British Columbia and Alberta.
We provide funding in
15 communities
across these two provinces.What we fund
We have specific subject areas of interest connected to TELUS’ commitment to positive social impact in our communities. TELUS is interested in telling stories that fall within the following social impact categories:
- Health and Well-being
- Flourishing Communities
- Environment/Sustainability
- Connectivity/Technology
We license a variety of formats including short, mid-length and feature documentaries, as well as short format documentary series.

TELUS originals accepts pitches once annually through our Pitch Submission Form which will be open from June 1 to June 30, 2026.

Once you have familiarized yourself with our program using the above resources, you can submit your pitch prior to June 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
In order to submit a pitch, you will be required to create an account on the TELUS My Content Hub. If you previously delivered a TELUS original film through the TELUS STORYHIVE portal or applied to a STORYHIVE program, you can submit your pitch through the TELUS My Content Hub with your existing log in credentials. Please ensure your contact information is up to date.
