Learn how to manage the battery on your device. Taking care of your battery will extend your battery life.

  1. Step 1/16

    From the Home screen, drag down the Notification panel.

    The indicator is towards the top.

    Tap the Settings icon.

    The indicator is towards the top.
  3. Step 3/16

    Tap Battery.

    The indicator is towards the left.
  4. Step 4/16

    Tap the Battery icon.

    Note: From this screen, you can view details about how your battery power is being used.

    The indicator is in the top right.

    Tap the Back button.

    The indicator is in the bottom left.

    Tap the Menu icon.

    The indicator is in the top right.

    Tap Battery optimization.

    The indicator is towards the top.

    Tap the Not optimized dropdown.

    The indicator is in the top right.

    Tap All apps.

    The indicator is towards the top.

    Select an app.

    The indicator is in the top left.

    Tap OPTIMIZE to enable a battery optimization recommendation.

    The indicator is towards the left.

    Tap DONE.

    The indicator is towards the right.

    Tap the Back button.

    The indicator is in the bottom left.

    Tap Battery saver.

    The indicator is in the center.
  15. Step 15/16

    Tap or slide the Power saving mode switch to ON.

    Note: Power saving mode saves battery power by limiting access to certain apps, including the flashlight.

    The indicator is in the top right.
