Managing the Device Memory

Clearing your device's memory can help improve your device's speed to make it go faster. Your device may become slow because it is low on memory.

  1. Step 1/13

    From the Home screen, drag down the Notification Panel.

    The indicator is towards the top.

    Tap the Settings icon.

    The indicator is in the top right.
  3. Step 3/13

    Scroll to Storage.

    The indicator is in the center.
  4. Step 4/13

    Tap Storage.

    Note: From this screen, you can view details about how your device memory is being used.

    The indicator is in the top left.

    Tap Internal shared storage.

    The indicator is towards the left.
  6. Step 6/13

    Tap Storage manager.

    The indicator is towards the left.

    Tap or slide the Storage manager switch to On.

    The indicator is in the top right.

    Tap OK.

    The indicator is towards the right.

    Tap Remove photos & videos.

    The indicator is towards the top.
  10. Step 10/13

    Select your preferred duration to keep photos and videos.

    The indicator is towards the top.

    Tap the Back button.

    The indicator is in the bottom left.

    To review other files to remove, tap FREE UP SPACE.

    Note: If necessary, follow the onscreen prompts to create more space on your device.
