Equipment you will need for install
Each TELUS box you receive, regardless of model, will come with a Quick Install guide, as well as all the physical pieces you need to get your service up and running. This will typically include (but may not be limited to):
TELUS TV Box
Power supply
TELUS Remote with AAA batteries
HDMI cable

: If you are not automatically logged into your TV app during the first installation, you may need to log in manually using your My TELUS or Koodo username and password. Please visit
to get your username and password if you’ve forgotten it.
How to set up your TELUS TV Digital Box
To get set up, watch the video at the beginning of this article, or refer to the following steps:
Connect the TV digital box to your TV.
Connect the TV digital box to the power supply.
Turn on your TV and select the appropriate HDMI input on your TV using your TV manufacturer’s remote control.
Follow the onscreen steps to select your language, pair your TELUS remote, and connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Nice work, you’re all done!
You may also choose to sign in to your Google account to enjoy an enhanced entertainment experience.
Features
Box
Your TELUS TV digital box runs on the Android TV operating system, and comes with all of the features of Google’s Android TV platform including Google Assistant, Chromecast Built-In and access to the Google Play Store.
Preloaded with apps from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube, your box comes equipped with a custom designed user interface and home screen, allowing you to search and access all of your content in one place. You can also sign in to the Google Play Store with your Google account to access thousands of apps available for download.
Remote
Your new TELUS remote features Bluetooth connectivity, which means you no longer need to point your remote directly at the box to make it work. The sleek new design features back-lit buttons for easier use in the dark, and direct launch buttons for both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Your remote even comes equipped with built-in Google Assistant, allowing you to control your TV with your voice.

Your TELUS TV digital box has an LED indicator light on the underside of the box. A quick check of the colour of the light, and whether it’s solid or flashing, will let you know the state your box is in:
No colour
- the box is either unplugged or not receiving power. Plug in your box and press the
power button
on your remote to power the box on.
Blue (solid)
- the box is in stand-by mode. Press the
power button
or
OK button
on your remote to wake up the box.
Blue (flashing)
- the box is either waking up or is undergoing a factory reset.
White (solid)
- indicates the box is powered on and functioning properly. The light should blink once to acknowledge that a button on the TELUS Remote has been pressed.
White (flashing)
- the box is undergoing a software upgrade.
Buttons and inputs
You will find the following buttons and inputs on your TELUS TV digital box:
Buttons
Power
- turn the box on and off using the
power button
located on the front of the unit.
Bluetooth (press)
- enable Bluetooth pairing using the
Bluetooth button
located on the side of the unit. You can also connect Bluetooth accessories from the Home screen by navigating to
button on the back of the box for a minimum of 5 seconds to complete a factory reset.
Note
: Performing a factory reset will erase all data from your device’s internal storage, including your Google account, any app data and settings including stored usernames and passwords as well as any downloaded applications.
