I have a phone locked to another carrier. What do I do?
If your phone is locked to a carrier other than TELUS, you will need to contact that carrier to receive unlocking instructions directly from them. If your phone is locked to TELUS, you do not need to unlock it to activate on a BYOD plan.
Where can I activate my new SIM card?
Your SIM card will be shipped active. All you need to do is insert your card into your device. If you encounter issues after inserting your card, please contact Customer Care via chat to troubleshoot.
I want to bring my phone but need a new number. What do I do?
Not a problem. Your TELUS BYOD activation will provide you with a new phone number assigned to a new SIM card. Just insert the new SIM card into your device and the new number will become active.
