Installing TELUS PureFibre to your home

Depending on the location, there are two main methods of installation: hanging it overhead or burying it underground. Sometimes it’s a combination of the two. Generally, most of the work is carried out within two1 metres of your property line on city zoned land. Please note that even if we have to bury the cable, the work will not affect your property in any substantial way. We will restore your property to the same condition it was in prior to the installation.

3 ways to get connected

Aerial Access - One of three ways to get connected to TELUS PureFibre
Overhead Access
The fibre from your nearest utility pole is extended to a small feeder box we install on the side of your home or business.
If there is a locked gate, dog(s) in the yard, or access is physically blocked, our TELUS PureFibre installers will contact you to arrange access.
Buried Access - One of three ways to get connected to TELUS PureFibre
Buried Access
If an underground pathway already exists, we’ll use it. Otherwise, we’ll dig a pathway – which we’ll fully restore to its original condition.
It is important to note that if any digging is required our TELUS PureFibre installers will provide a form for you to sign with details on the necessary work. We cannot proceed until the form is signed and returned to the installers OR accepted through your TELUS account.

Combined Access - One of three ways to get connected to TELUS PureFibre
Combined Access
This method is a combination of Overhead and Buried access. You’ll have the fibre connecting partly overhead and partly underground.
