TELUS independent partners with Canadian production companies by pre-licensing feature documentaries and limited series. We are based on the West Coast, and accessible to all Canadians. We seek out 3-5 stories and series a year from a diverse range of perspectives. Canadian producers are welcome to make submissions year round.
How to submit
If you would like TELUS independent to consider your project, please send the following to

- A 3-8 page description of your project
- A statement of the project's relevance to Canadian and international audiences
- Bios of any attached key creative team members
- A statement of producer/director connection to the subject matter and/or the communities you seek to represent
- Links to any relevant previous work

Our evaluation criteria encompass strategies for ethical storytelling, Indigenous narrative sovereignty, narrative agency for all traditionally underrepresented communities, and sustainable production practices.
