Get support to produce or broadcast your show

maCommunauté offers support to video producers in the Quebec City, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspé, Beauce and North Shore regions to create original and informative local content. Via Optik TV’s channel 511, Video on Demand and its digital platforms, maCommunauté allows producers to bring their message to a larger audience, while providing financial support and training.

All submitted projects must meet the following criteria:

Reside in the Québec region, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie, Beauce, or Côte-Nord.
Someone from the communities served by maCommunauté must be involved in the production team, whether in front of the camera (e.g., lead actor, presenter) or behind the camera (e.g., screenwriter, director, producer).
Any producer or other community member cannot submit more than two support requests per broadcast season (autumn or winter). The autumn broadcasting season starts in September and ends in December, while the winter broadcasting season starts in January and ends in May.
You must have obtained, or be able to obtain, all the necessary authorizations and copyrights for broadcasting your show on maCommunauté, on channel 511, Video on Demand, and on new media including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and mobile telephony platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, music, images, or sequences from other sources. You must also provide a release form duly completed by each participant in your project.
The production of the show must be completed within the deadlines established in the agreed schedule. Any delivery delays will result in penalties.
Documentary projects that address topics of public interest must express varied and balanced viewpoints.
The proposed project must comply with the broadcasting industry's standards as outlined in the code of conduct administered by the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC), which can be consulted on the organization's website. The maCommunauté channel will not support shows that do not comply with these standards or which contain elements that could be considered offenses under the Criminal Code, defamatory, or illegal in any manner.
The content of the show must be educational, entertaining, or informative, but in no way commercial or violent. It must be suitable for an audience of all ages.
The content you propose must comply with TELUS's technical requirements, but encoding services can be provided by TELUS. We prefer high-definition video content.
Commercial programming is not eligible for broadcasting on maCommunauté. This includes shows featuring a professional sports team as well as shows that have been broadcast by major television networks or financed by them.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your show must be free of rights, and you must have obtained all the necessary authorizations and releases for broadcasting on maCommunauté for a period of at least 10 years.
