Removing apps and widgets from the Home screen

Remove unused widgets to free up room on the home screen of your device. Widgets can be added back later if needed.

  1. Note: Removing an app or widget from the Home screen doesn't uninstall it from your phone. You can uninstall apps and widgets through the Play Store app.

  2. Step 1/4

    From the Home screen, touch and hold the widget you'd like to remove.

    Note: For this tutorial, we're removing a widget. The steps to remove an app are the same.

    The indicator is in the center.
  3. Step 2/4

    Tap Remove.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  4. Step 3/4

    Tap Remove again.

    The indicator is in the bottom right.
