Enabling USB debugging

Huawei P20 Pro on Android 10.0.0

Turn on USB Debugging to help trouble shoot your device. Once USB Debugging is turned on, you will be able to plug your device into a computer to access your device's logs.

    From the Home screen, tap Settings.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.

    Scroll to About phone.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.

    Tap About phone.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.

    Tap Build number seven times.

    Note: You may be prompted to enter your device PIN or password. When Developer options has been enabled successfully, you will see a message at the bottom of the screen which states Developer mode has been enabled.

    The indicator is in the center.

    Swipe from the left or right edge of the screen to go back.

    The indicator is towards the right.
  6. Step 6/11

    Tap System & updates.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  7. Step 7/11

    Tap Developer options.

    The indicator is in the center.
  8. Step 8/11

    Scroll to USB debugging.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  9. Step 9/11

    Tap or slide the USB debugging switch to ON.

    The indicator is in the top right.

    Tap OK.

    The indicator is in the bottom right.
