Inserting and removing the nano SIM card
Huawei P20 Pro on Android 10.0.0
Learn how to insert and remove a SIM card from your device. Your cellular service is activated through your SIM card; without it you cannot use cellular features. Note that a SIM card tray removal tool may be needed.
Note: Don't touch the gold contacts on your SIM card. That could damage the card. If you’re using a new SIM card, you can activate it by calling your carrier.
- Step 1/6
Locate the nano SIM / nano SD card tray on the bottom of your device.
Note: You must have a nano SIM card inserted in your phone to place calls, access the internet, download apps and share pictures over your carrier's network.
- Step 2/6
Press the card insertion/removal tool into the nano SIM / nano SD card tray pinhole and push in until the tray releases.
- Step 3/6
Slide the nano SIM / nano SD card tray out of its slot.
Note: A nano SIM card may already be inserted in your phone.
- Step 4/6
Insert or remove the nano SIM card into or from the tray with the gold contacts facing the back of the phone.
Note: Ensure you are inserting your SIM card into the side of the tray labeled as "SIM 1". Your device uses a nano SD card for external storage that has the same sized card slot.
- Step 5/6
Press the nano SIM / nano SD card tray back into its slot until it clicks, making sure it's secure.
- Step 6/6
You've completed the steps!
