Changing Your Network Name and Password

Your device can be secured with a password making it so no one can get into your device without entering your password. If you forget your password you will have to reset your device and you will lose any information that is not backed up.

  1. Step 1/9

    From the Web User Interface main screen, click Settings under Wi-Fi.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  2. Step 2/9

    Click the Network Name(SSID) field.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  3. Step 3/9

    Enter your new network name.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  4. Step 4/9

    Scroll to the Password field.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  5. Step 5/9

    Click the Password field.

    Note: Your Wi-Fi password is also known as your wireless security key. This is different than your Web User Interface login password.

    The indicator is in the center.
  6. Step 6/9

    Enter your new password.

    The indicator is in the center.
  7. Step 7/9

    Click Apply.

    The indicator is in the bottom right.

    Click Yes.

    The indicator is in the center.
