Setting content restrictions

You can set up your child's device to have content restrictions. The restrictions can be on anything from websites to music or podcasts.

  1. Note: With Screen Time, you can set restrictions for content, changes to account settings, and more. These settings will apply to all your devices sharing the same Apple ID.

    From the Home screen, tap Settings.

    The indicator is towards the right.
  3. Step 2/9

    Tap Screen Time.

    Note: You may need to turn on Screen Time. If necessary, tap Turn On Screen Time and select your preferences.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.

    Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  5. Step 4/9

    Tap or slide the Content & Privacy Restrictions switch to ON.

    The indicator is in the top right.
  6. Step 5/9

    Tap Content Restrictions then enter your screen time passcode.

    Note: From this screen, you can manage store, web, Siri, and Game Center settings.

    The indicator is in the center.
  7. Step 6/9

    Enter your screen time passcode.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  8. Step 7/9

    Select a category.

    The indicator is in the center.

    Select your preferences.

    The indicator is in the center.
