Setting Up iPad with Quick Start

Apple iPad mini 4 on iOS 14.0.0

When setting up your new device, you will be prompted by your old device to allow it to automatically transfer your user information to your new device. Follow these steps to use the Quick Start feature.

    Place the iOS device you'd like to use for setup next to iPad.

    Note: To use Apple's Quick Start feature, both devices must be operating on iOS 11 or higher.

    From your other iOS device, tap Continue on the Set Up New iPad pop-up.

    Position the image on iPad in the viewfinder of the other iOS device to authenticate your connection.

    Enter the authentication code on your other iOS device to begin transferring information.

    Note: After you enter this authentication code, follow any additional onscreen prompts to complete iPad setup.
