Audio/headphone jack: Used to plug in your headset or headphones.
Back icon: Used to go back one screen.
Bixby Button: Launches the Bixby virtual assistant.

Front camera: Used for taking pictures and recording videos.
Home icon: Takes you to the last Home screen you were on. If you're on a Home screen, it will take you to the main Home screen. Touch and hold for Google Assistant.

Iris recognition LED: Used to recognize the unique pattern of your iris.

Messages icon: Opens the app for sending and receiving text messages.
Microphone: Built-in microphone used for phone calls and voice commands.

Phone icon: Opens the keypad and phone functions.
Play Store Icon: Opens Google Play™ Store, where you can browse and download apps, games and more for your Android™ phone.
Power/lock button: Press to lock or unlock the touchscreen. Hold down to turn the device on or off.
Recent apps icon: Shows the apps you've recently opened, letting you switch between and close apps that are running. Touch and hold to enter split screen mode.
S Pen: Used to navigate the touchscreen and create handwritten notes and memos.
S Pen Slot: Used to store your S Pen.
Speaker: Used to play sounds on your device.
Touchscreen: Used to navigate your device.
USB/charging port: Connects your phone to the battery charger or to another device for transferring data.
Volume buttons: Adjusts the volume on your device.
