Managing Apps and Widgets
Samsung Galaxy J3 on Android 7.1.1
Learn how to use modules, also known as widgets, to help you keep important information at the tips of your fingers. Widgets allow you to do things such as preview upcoming events, see recent emails, and have access to your favorite contacts. You can place apps on your home screen similar to how you place widgets to your home screen.

From the Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.

Tap Widgets.
Note: For this simulation, we're adding, adjusting, and removing a widget on the Home screen. The steps to modify an app on the Home screen are the same through the Apps menu.

Select a widget category.
Note: Swipe to view more available widgets.

Touch and hold the widget you'd like to use.
Step 4/12 - 5.
Drag the widget to an empty space on a Home screen.
Step 5/12 - 6.
Tap the Back button to save your changes.
Step 6/12 - 7.
Drag the widget to a new location.
Step 7/12 - 8.
Drag the blue borders to a new size.
Step 8/12 - 9.
Tap outside the widget to save your changes.

To remove a widget, touch and hold the widget.

Tap Remove.
Note: Removing an app or widget from the Home screen doesn't uninstall it from your phone. You can uninstall apps and widgets through the Play Store app.
