Setting Up Your TELUS.net Email Account
Samsung Galaxy J3 on Android 7.1.1
Learn how you can set up an email account provided by your carrier to your device. After you have added the email to your device you can check emails for that account, send emails from it, and get notification of incoming email.

From the Home screen, drag down the Notification panel.

Scroll to Cloud and accounts.

Tap Add account.

Tap Email.

Enter your email address.

Tap the Password field.

Enter your password.

Tap MANUAL SETUP.

Tap IMAP account.
Note: Some fields may populate automatically during setup.

Tap the IMAP server field.

Enter "imap.telus.net".
Step 14/28 - 15.
Scroll to Security type under INCOMING SERVER.

Tap the Security type dropdown under INCOMING SERVER.
Note: Your TELUS.net account accepts SSL and TLS security types.

Tap SSL (Accept all certificates).
Step 17/28 - 18.
Tap the Port field under INCOMING SERVER.

Enter "993".
Step 19/28 - 20.
Tap the SMTP server field.
Step 20/28 - 21.
Enter "smtp.telus.net".
Step 21/28 - 22.
Scroll to Security type under OUTGOING SERVER.
Step 22/28 - 23.
Tap the Security type dropdown under OUTGOING SERVER.
Step 23/28 - 24.
Tap SSL (Accept all certificates).
Note: Your TELUS.net account accepts SSL and TLS security types.
Step 24/28 - 25.
Tap the Port field under OUTGOING SERVER.
Step 25/28 - 26.
Enter "465".
Step 26/28 - 27.
Tap SIGN IN.
