Changing the wallpaper

Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime on Android 8.1.0

The background image for your device, also known as the wallpaper, can be changed in settings. You can use your own image as a wallpaper or choose from the default images on your device. You can change the lock screen and home screen backgrounds.

  1. Step 1/8

    From the Home screen, touch and hold an empty space.

    The indicator is in the top right.
  2. Step 2/8

    Tap Wallpapers.

    Note: For this tutorial, we're selecting static wallpapers. Live wallpapers move on their own and add motion to your Home screen. You can also select one of your own images from the Gallery app.

    The indicator is in the bottom left.
  3. Step 3/8

    Swipe to the wallpaper you'd like to use.

    The indicator is in the top right.
  4. Step 4/8

    Select the wallpaper you'd like to use.

    The indicator is in the center.
  5. Step 5/8

    Tap Home screen.

    Note: For this tutorial, we're changing the wallpaper on the Home screen. You can also change the wallpaper on the Lock screen.

    The indicator is in the bottom left.
  6. Step 6/8

    Tap SET AS WALLPAPER.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.
  7. Step 7/8

    Press the Home button to view your new wallpaper.

    The indicator is towards the bottom.

    You've completed the steps!
