In the comfort of your home, plug in the camera to begin setup before taking it outside.
1. Connect the power cable to the camera
2. Plug the power supply into the power outlet and wait about 6 seconds for the LED to start flashing white

Download the TELUS SmartHome app. Then log in with your My TELUS credentials.

1. Select __Menu__ at the top left-hand corner
2. Select __+ Add Device__
3. Select __Video Camera__
4. Select __Outdoor Camera ADC-V723__
5. Type in a name for your camera and select __Next__

Let’s connect your smartphone to the camera’s temporary Wi-Fi network. This will allow you to add the camera to your home Wi-Fi network.

1. On your smartphone, exit the TELUS SmartHome app and go to the __Settings__ app
2. Connect your smartphone to the camera’s temporary Wi-Fi network: __ADC-V723 (XX:XX:XX)__

3. After you are connected to the __ADC-V723 (XX:XX:XX)__ Wi-Fi network, return to the TELUS SmartHome app and select __Next__
4. Select __Scan for Networks__

5. Select your home Wi-Fi network name from the list
6. Type in your Wi-Fi network password and select __Next__
7. Continue following the steps in the app until the installation is complete. This may take a few minutes

1. Find an indoor or outdoor power outlet near the chosen camera location
<br></br>__Important__: If using an outdoor outlet, you must have a weatherproof enclosure. Additionally, do not use an outdoor outlet that is timer or switch controlled.

2. Connect the power cable to the camera, and then plug the power supply into the power outlet

Here are options to run your cable:
- Through the corner opening of a door, garage or window to an indoor power outlet
- Along siding to an outdoor power outlet with a weatherproof enclosure
- Through a drilled hole in the wall (use a 13mm (1/2 inch) drill bit)

__Tip__: Use caulk to seal around the drilled hole.

1. Place the camera 2.5 to 4.5 metres (8 to 15 feet) above the ground

2. Tilt the camera downward 30 to 60 degrees, enough to see people’s faces 
3. Make sure the camera has a clear view and the horizon is level
   __No clear view?__
   If you are unable to achieve a clear view at your chosen location, consider finding a different location to mount your camera.

__Important__: If you do not calibrate your Outdoor Camera, it will not function properly.

__Power cycle__
If you have issues connecting the camera to a TELUS account, power cycle the camera (unplug the power cable from the camera and plug it back in to restore power). 

__Factory reset__
If issues persist, reset the camera to factory defaults. Press and hold the button on the bottom of the camera for 15 seconds until the light starts flashing red and green. 

__Note__: You will need to reinstall the camera after a factory reset.

1. Log in to your TELUS SmartHome app on your mobile device
2. Select __Menu__ at the top left-hand corner
3. Select __+ Add device__
4. 5. Select the correct camera type and proceed to the "Verify LED light" screen
6. Make sure the camera is plugged in and the LED is flashing white. If the LED is not flashing white, press and hold the button on the back of the camera until the LED starts flashing white and then release. Select __Next__ on the top right of the screen to continue
7. Please allow Alarm.com access to this device’s location. Select __Allow__
8. Type in a name for your camera and select __Next__
9. Once your device has been found, verify the last six digits of the MAC address (can be found on the back of the camera) and select the device you would like to install
10. Exit the TELUS SmartHome app and proceed to your phone’s __Settings__ to connect to the __ALARM (XX:XX:XX)__ network. After you successfully connect to the ALARM network, return to the TELUS SmartHome app and select __Next__
11. Scan for your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password, then select __Next__
12. After the installation process is completed, select __Next__
13. Select __Done__ at the additional setup screen
14. Your video feed should show up under __Video__ on your TELUS SmartHome app

Installing your Outdoor Camera (V722 model) / Install the camera on your SmartHome App

When selecting a location to mount your Outdoor Camera, there are 3 important considerations:

__Wi-Fi strength__. Your camera requires a minimum of 2.5 MegaBits per second upload speed, but a stronger signal will create a more reliable and higher quality video feed. To test your Wi-Fi speed at your chosen location, run a speed test on a phone or laptop at that location by visiting [__telus.com/speedtest__](https://www.telus.com/en/support/article/speed-test). If you are unable to find a location with adequate Wi-Fi coverage, consider purchasing a TELUS Boost Wi-Fi to extend the range of your home Wi-Fi network. Call TELUS support for more information.

__Cable length__. Before mounting, you’ll need to plot a route to run the cable to a power outlet. In some cases, you may want to drill through a wall or run the cable along the siding. For more length, a DC extension cable can be purchased to insert between the camera and outlet segments of cable. The cable could be secured to the wall with staples, a cable track or raceway or any number of cable fasteners available at your local hardware store. Be sure to allow enough slack to adjust the cable as needed.

__Camera angle__. You will want to aim the camera with a good view. You can view the live feed of a connected camera in your SmartHome app. For your video analytics to work best, the camera should be 8 to 15 feet above the ground.

To mount the outdoor camera, you’ll need to drill holes into the wall. Use the longer screws that were included with the camera if you’re drilling into wood, and we recommend using the anchors for stucco or brick walls. You can then mount the camera body into the wall using the included screws.

1. Select __Menu__ at the top left-hand corner
2. Select __+ Add Device__
3. Select __Video Camera__
4. Select __Indoor Camera ADC-V523__
5. Type in a name for your camera and select __Next__

Let’s connect your smartphone to the camera’s temporary Wi-Fi network. This will allow you to add the camera to your home Wi-Fi network later.

1. On your smartphone, exit the TELUS SmartHome app and go to the __Settings__ app
2. Connect your smartphone to the camera’s temporary Wi-Fi network: __ADC-V523 (XX:XX:XX)__
3. After you are connected to the __ADC-V523 (XX:XX:XX)__ Wi-Fi network, return to the TELUS SmartHome app and select __Next__

Now let’s connect the camera to your home Wi-Fi network.

2. Select your home Wi-Fi network name from the list
3. Type in your Wi-Fi network password and select __Next__

The camera can be mounted to a wall using the screws.

__Tip__: You can also attach the mounting bracket by drilling holes and using the drywall anchors provided. You’ll need a 6mm (¼ inch) drill bit.

2. Route the power cable through the wall plate, securing the cable in the clips

1. Attach the camera to the wall plate by aligning the slots on the base of the camera with the tabs on the wall plate
2. Slide the camera onto the tabs until it is full seated on the wall plate

__Power cycle__

If you have issues connecting the camera to a TELUS account, power cycle the camera (unplug the power cable from the camera and plug it back in to restore power).

__Factory reset__

If issues persist, reset the camera to factory defaults. Press and hold the button on the bottom of the camera for 15 seconds until the light starts flashing red and green.

__Note__: You will need to reinstall the camera after a factory reset.

Identify whether the chime is mechanical (ding-dong) or digital (plays a melody). You can identify the type by looking inside the chime box.

1. Remove the screws securing your doorbell to the wall
2. Check to see if there are two wires attached to the doorbell
__No wires?__
If the existing doorbell does not have wires then it is incompatible with the Doorbell Camera.
3. Remove the wires from the doorbell

1. Using a 6mm (¼ inch) masonry drill bit, drill pilot holes for the wall anchors
2. Push or hammer the wall anchors into the pilot holes

1. Insert the doorbell wires through the hole in the mounting bracket
2. Place the mounting bracket over the marked location for the screws
3. Screw the mounting bracket into the siding or wall

1. Unscrew the two terminal screws on the mounting bracket
2. Insert the doorbell wires into the grooves of the mounting bracket and wrap them around the terminal screws
   -  __Note__: It doesn’t matter which terminal you connect a wire to.
3. Tighten the terminal screws to the mounting bracket

1. Remove the screw on the bottom of the mounting bracket 
2. Hook the tabs on the top of the Doorbell Camera into the notches on the top of mounting bracket
3. Press the bottom face of the Doorbell Camera, making it flush with the mounting bracket
   - __Note__: If the Doorbell Camera is not flush with the mounting bracket, make sure the wires are seated into the grooves of the mounting bracket.
4. Insert and tighten the screw on the bottom of the mounting bracket to secure the Doorbell Camera

If you have a mechanical chime, go to __Step 12__. 

If you have a digital chime, follow the steps to install a Digital Doorbell Adapter.

1. Remove the cover from your digital chime
2. Remove the two wires from the digital chime terminals labelled "Transformer" and "Front"
3. Straighten the wires and insert them into the Digital Doorbell Adapter
   - __Note__: It doesn’t matter which terminal you connect a wire to.
4. Secure the Digital Doorbell Adapter leads to digital chime terminals labelled "Transformer" and "Front"

1. Turn on the breaker that controls your doorbell circuit
2. Wait for the Doorbell Camera LED to flash green and red

If flashing orange, press and hold the main button for 60 seconds until the light begins alternating green and red.

__Note__: In order to make the existing doorbell chime ring, the Wi-Fi Outdoor Doorbell Camera must "short" the doorbell circuit. During this time, the Wi-Fi Outdoor Doorbell Camera operates on battery power.

Let’s connect your smartphone to the Doorbell Camera’s temporary Wi-Fi network. This will allow you to add the doorbell to your home Wi-Fi network.

1. On your smartphone, exit the TELUS SmartHome app and go to the __Settings__ app

   - Rename your doorbell
   - Set up Doorbell Call Notifications
   - Create or modify Recording Schedules
   - Adjust your Doorbell Camera’s Motion Sensitivity 
   - Change LED colours
   - Change Chime Type

__Note__: If you’re using a Digital Doorbell Adapter, select __Chime Type__ and change to __Digital__.
