How to access apps on your Optik PVR or Wireless Digital Box

Your Optik TV PVR and Wireless Digital Box gives you access to a variety of apps. There are a few ways to access these apps: 

Navigate to the channel indicated in the table below in your guide
Enter the channel number indicated on your Optik remote
Press the
Apps
button on your Optik remote and select your desired app
Navigate to
TV Apps
from your Optik TV menu

How to set up Call Display on your Optik PVR or Wireless Digital Box

With Call Display, information about incoming calls from your TELUS Home Phone can be displayed on screen while watching Optik TV.
To set up call display on Optik TV:

Press the
apps
button on your Optik remote
Select
Call Display
Select
Call Display Settings
Select
Enable Call Display
to turn Call Display on
Use the up and down arrows to select the desired notification timeout period and press
OK
. This allows you to select the length of time you’d like the Call Display pop-up to appear on your screen
Select
Save
and press
OK

Accessing apps on your TELUS TV Digital Box

The TELUS TV Digital Box includes access to the Google Play store where you can choose from thousands of apps, from Disney+ to Spotify to music and gaming experiences, as well as the option to download and customize your entertainment. 

The Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube apps come pre-installed on your TELUS TV Digital Box.
