During live TV playback in portrait mode, you can view

and browse other channels. You can also record your current program by tapping the record icon.
To go full screen, simply rotate your device to landscape mode. You can press once on the screen to bring up program information and turn on
closed captioning
(CC) or
described video
(AD). A second press will close the information and audio settings.

All Optik TV customers have access to the On Demand content included in their subscription as well as a selection of On Demand movies available for rental. You can browse by

Please note
: You can pause, rewind or fast forward On Demand TV content, but fast forward may be disabled on select programming by the content provider. You can pause, rewind or fast forward On Demand movies available for rental.
In the
Guide
section, you can see what’s playing today and over the next week. Any shows with a home icon in the guide indicate that this programming is only available when connected to your TELUS home Internet. You can also filter your guide by selecting the filter icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen. Filter options are:
All channels
will display all of the channels that are available with Optik TV
My subscribed channels
will display all of the channels that you have in your Optik TV or Pik TV subscription
Playable on this device
will display all of the channels that you are subscribed to and can watch on this device.

that some channels are only available when connected to your TELUS home internet connection
When you select a program that is on now, it will take you to the live TV player.
When you select a program that is airing in the future, it will bring up the episode information page. From here you can watch the episode On Demand if it’s available, set a recording either for the episode or for the series, view showtimes or On Demand availability.
You can use the search function to find a movie, TV show or cast member, using the on-screen keyboard. If searching for a movie or TV series, your search results will include both live and On Demand viewing options for your title. If searching for a specific cast member, your search results will provide a list of available live or On Demand titles where that cast member appeared.
In the
Recordings
section, you will see 2 tabs:
Recorded
and
Scheduled
. In the
Recorded
tab, you will see information including program details, the date the program was recorded, and run time. For series recordings, you will see the number of episodes recorded. You can also delete existing recordings or edit your recording settings.
In the
Scheduled
tab, you can cancel upcoming recordings, edit your recording settings or resolve recording conflicts. You can also

and
Filter
the views of existing and scheduled recordings. If you have the Recordings bundle included as part of your Optik TV combo, you can also initiate playback of your recorded programs from the
Recorded
tab.
