TELUS Home Service vacation suspension

An alternative to cancelling your service(s) is suspending them, which allows you to keep your Home Phone number and telus.net email address.

All customers who have had TELUS services for a minimum of 1 month (30 days), and reside at the service address can request vacation suspension.

You can put your services on hold for a minimum of 1 month up to a maximum of 6 months, once every 12 months. A month, for the purposes of a vacation suspension is considered to be 30 days.

: November 13 to December 12 is 30 days apart and would be considered a valid request. However, February 13 to March 12 is only 28 days apart (29 in a leap year) and would not be considered a valid suspension request.

TELUS SmartHome Security requires an Internet connection. So, you will need to keep your Internet service active while away, and will not be able to suspend your Internet service.

If you subscribe to a non-TELUS home security service and that service requires your phone line or High-Speed Internet to work, you'll need to leave that particular service active while away.
