TELUS discovery+ Subscription Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your discovery+ (“discovery+”) subscription with TELUS.

discovery+ is a service mark of Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. or its subsidiaries and affiliates (“WBD”) registered in the U.S. and other countries and regions. discovery+ is a video subscription service that allows subscribers to stream certain video content on compatible devices via the discovery+ app or the discoveryplus.com website. discovery+ account activation required. Visit discoveryplus.com to see programming availability and regular pricing, which is subject to change without notice. Your use of discovery+ is subject to the discovery+ Terms of Use, available at

Minimum Requirements
:

To use discovery+, you must have a compatible device in accordance with the discovery+ Terms of Use. You must set up a My TELUS account in order to subscribe and manage your discovery+ subscription through TELUS. discovery+ is offered as a standalone subscription for existing TELUS customers. You must be a Canadian and at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your province or territory to subscribe to discovery+ on telus.com. Compatible products and services are required. Ultra high-definition availability is subject to rate plan selection, internet service, device capability, and content availability. Not all content is available in 4K or 4K HDR. 4K resolution requires a 4K‑capable device. Accessing Dolby Atmos features requires a Dolby Atmos–capable system. Playback quality will depend on hardware and internet connection. Existing discovery+ subscription or new subscription activation is required.

Activation
:

Once you sign up for a discovery+ subscription through MyTELUS, you will receive an activation email prompting you to activate your subscription with discovery+. The steps to activate your subscription are outlined below:

  1. A link in the email will take you to My TELUS, where you must log in using your existing TELUS credentials. You can also navigate directly to activate discovery+ via the "Manage Subscriptions" link on the “Thank You” page that appears after the order is complete if there is a delay in receiving the email.

  2. On the “Manage Subscriptions” page where you will see your discovery+ subscription listed. You will need to click “activate subscriptions” and then you will be taken to the discovery+ site to complete activation by either linking an existing account or creating a new account. a. If you DO NOT have an existing discovery+ account, you must create a new account. b. If you DO have an existing discovery+ account, sign in to your existing discovery+ account. This will link your existing account to your discovery+ subscription with TELUS. If you do not wish to link your existing discovery+ subscription, then you will have to create a new discovery+ account (as detailed above); both subscriptions will run concurrently and you will be charged for each subscription.

Billing
:

Billing for your existing discovery+ subscription will then be transferred to TELUS, and discovery+ will pause their direct billing. For any discovery+ inquiries, including billing, please visit the

discovery+ no promotional offer

If you subscribe to discovery+ as a standalone subscription, you will be charged the current market retail discovery+ subscription price plus applicable tax, which will be charged to the credit card that you added on your My TELUS account. Existing discovery+ subscription or new subscription activation is required. Your subscription will automatically renew, and you will be charged every succeeding month until you cancel your discovery+ subscription through your My TELUS account in accordance with the “Cancellation” section below. Kindly note that no bill will be sent to you; monthly charges can be viewed from your My TELUS account.

Any additional purchase you may make through the discovery+ service will be made directly through the discovery+ app and will not be billed through your My TELUS account. For additional details, including on billing and changes, please refer to the TELUS Subscriptions Platform Terms of Use, which is part of your agreement with TELUS.

Pre-Existing Subscription
:

If you have a pre-existing subscription to discovery+ directly with discovery+ prior to signing up with TELUS, you may be able to link your existing account via My TELUS.

After you have logged into My TELUS using your new or existing credentials, you can use the subscriptions page to activate discovery+ using the “activate” button. Upon clicking the activate button, you will be able to complete activation by linking your existing account. Activation of the service will pause your current billing with discovery+. Existing discovery+ subscription required.

Cancellation
:

You are able to cancel your discovery+ subscription with TELUS at any time through your My TELUS account. Upon cancellation, your subscription will stay active until the end of your billing period. TELUS may also cancel your discovery+ subscription, at our sole discretion without notice to you, if we suspect any fraudulent activity, misuse of your subscription, or violation of these terms or any applicable law by you. No refund will be given in case of revocation.

Please note if you’re a Quebec subscriber, you’ll be able to cancel immediately and will receive a prorated credit.
