How to swap your Smart Thermostat
Learn how to replace and return your Smart Thermostat.
Steps to replace your Smart Thermostat
Shut off the power to the Smart Thermostat and then test to ensure it is not powered on
Carefully remove the faceplate from the backplate by slowly pulling the face plate towards you
Take a photo of how the wires are connected to the backplate to help with installing the replacement
Carefully remove the wires by pressing the white tab and gently pulling on the wires
Unscrew the three screws, then remove the backplate from the wall
From the TELUS SmartHome app: a. Select
Manage Devices
from the main menu b. Select the three dots next to the Smart Thermostat's name c. Select
Remove Device
to remove the old device from your list d. Select
Delete
Follow the instructions to
install your new Smart Thermostat
How to return your defective Smart Thermostat
Prepare the following in a box:
Take the sealed box to Canada Post to return to TELUS at no charge
Please request a copy of the receipt from the Canada Post agent. Retain your copy of the receipt for reference and package tracking
