Sun interference and its effect on TV signals

Twice a year in Canada, during the months of March and October, satellite signals are impacted as satellites pass in front of the sun for several minutes each day.

When this happens, affected channels will experience a temporary blackout (or blank screen) over a seven-day period, lasting up to 10 minutes. Channel signals will restore automatically following this blackout period.
