A trigger. Each routine requires a triggering event in order for the routine to run. Options include:
a. “Specific time” > This allows you to set a fixed time of day when you want your routine to run. You can pick the days of the week you want this routine to run as well.
b. “Sunrise or sunset” > This allows you to set up your routine to run at, or at an offset of up to 60 minutes before or after sunrise or sunset. This means the routine will trigger at a different time each time, corresponding with whenever sunrise and sunset is at your local time. You can pick the days of the week you want this routine to run as well.c. “When a device does something” > This allows you to set up a routine to only run when another smart device in your home, such as a smart plug or thermostat, changes states. Examples include when a smart plug turns on, or when your thermostat senses a drop in your home temperature to below 20 degrees. You can modify this trigger to only occur within a specific window of time or specific days of the week as well.
d. “Manual start” > This means your routine will only run when you manually trigger it in the SmartHome+ app.
