How to setup and manage your Alexa powered TELUS Skill

Link TELUS Skill to your TELUS account

  1. Log in into your Alexa Amazon app or web portal.
  2. Go to the Skills section.
  3. Search for TELUS Skill.
  4. Enable the link – this should take you to your TELUS my account log in page.
    Note: You should receive a message informing you that the account has been successfully linked.
  5. You will receive an email containing a link that will allow you to configure the skill.
    Note: You can also go to www.telus.com/alexa to configure your skill.

Configure TELUS Skill on your Echo device

  1. Go to your Alexa Dashboard.
  2. Choose the default account.
    • Choose your default phone number as your primary number for the TELUS Skill services. This number will be used to send SMS messages or for calls.
    • Choose your default home services number for the TELUS Skill services.
  3. Contacts
    • Use simple nick names to call or message from Echo devices.
    • 10 digits numbers are accepted for contacts.
    • Voice calls are free of charge in North America but require a TELUS Mobility account, etc.
    • 911 calls are NOT supported.
  4. Voice Pin
    • A 4 digit pin is used to make any account change. For example, to add more data you will need a voice pin.
      Note: It is suggested that your voice-pin be kept private.
