How to pay for a virtual appointment with a veterinarian
Answers to common questions related to appointment fees and payment methods.
Is the TELUS Health MyPet service free?
The app is free to download. Veterinarian appointments are $95 plus applicable taxes and vet technician appointments are $40 plus applicable taxes.
Additional fees will apply if you are prescribed medications. Customers who have health insurance for their pets should submit their claims through their insurance provider.
The application uses internet data (Wi-Fi or mobile). Overage charges may apply with your respective provider.
How do I pay for an appointment?
When you book your appointment you will be prompted to enter your credit card details. We accept Visa (debit/credit), MasterCard (debit/credit) and American Express.
If you need to reschedule your appointment, please do so more than 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel your appointment within the 24-hour window, you will be charged the full price of the session.
How do I get my prescription receipt?
When your prescription is filled by our affiliated clinic, they will automatically email you a receipt for the medication. You don't need to take any additional steps to receive your receipt.
I have an issue related to billing or payments.
Please check to see if your payment method is up to date. If you're still having issues, contact your bank to resolve the issue.
Are virtual appointments covered by my pet owner's insurance?
Please check with your pet insurer for your policy coverage.
Can TELUS Health MyPet submit a claim directly to my pet insurer for reimbursement?
Not at this time. If you have insurance for your pet, you can process your request directly through your insurer.
