If a fall is detected or if you press and hold the call button for three seconds, you will trigger an alert for requesting a call with our trained live Medical Alert operators, who will then engage in a two-way call with you through the speaker in your device (base unit for home or your mobile pendant for Medical Alert).
After a short pause, you will hear a voice message, followed by tones or ringing and then you will be connected with the Medical Alert operator. An alert can also be triggered if your device (if equipped) detects the occurrence of a fall. In some instances, the fall detection feature might not detect all falls. If you do fall, do not wait for the call. Always press and hold the button for help when possible.
