How to restart your modem
Find the instructions to restart your modem as a solution for common internet connectivity issues.
Restart your internet modem and gateway with our automated tool.
Many issues can be fixed with a hardware reboot. Log in to My TELUS to do this automatically.

To restart your device manually
:
Disconnect the power cord from the back of all your internet modems, gateways and boosts.
Wait for 10 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of each of the devices.
Wait for five minutes. Then check your device.
If it doesn’t reconnect, check all the cables on the back and ensure it is fully plugged in.
Try restarting your computer or device and reconnecting to Wi-Fi.
Launch your web browser and test your internet connection.
Manual steps to restart Actiontec T1200H/T2200H
To restart your Actiontec T1200H/T2200H modem:
From the back of your modem, disconnect the power cord.
Wait for 10 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of your modem.
Wait for five minutes. Then check your modem. The following lights should be green:
Try restarting your computer or device and reconnecting to the Wi-Fi.
Launch your web browser and test your internet connection.
Manual steps to restart Actiontec V1000H/V2000H
To restart your Actiontec V1000H/V2000H modem:
From the back of your Actiontec wireless modem, disconnect the power cord.
Wait for 10 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of your modem.
Wait for five minutes. Then check your modem. The following lights should be green:
Try restarting your computer or device, and reconnecting to the Wi-Fi.
Launch your web browser and test your internet connection.
Manual steps to restart ZyXEL VSG-1432
To restart your ZyXEL VSG-1432 wireless modem:
From the back of your modem, disconnect the power cord.
Wait 10 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of your modem.
Wait 5 minutes, then check your modem. The following lights should be green:
Try restarting your computer/device and reconnecting to the Wi-Fi.
Launch your Web browser and test your internet connection.
Manual steps to restart TELUS Wi-Fi Hub
To restart your Wi-Fi Hub:
Disconnect the power cord from the back of your Wi-Fi Hub modem.
Wait for 10 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of your modem.
Wait five minutes. Then check your modem. The LED on the front should be solid green.
Try restarting your computer or device and reconnecting to the Wi-Fi.
Launch your web browser and test your internet connection.
