How to create a Doorbell Call notification

Learn how to set up your Doorbell Camera to send a notification when it detects motion or when someone presses the doorbell button.

Steps to create a Doorbell Call notification

Log in
to your TELUS SmartHome app or web portal and go to the
Notifications
tab.
In the SmartHome app:
Scroll down and select
Doorbell
.
Select the “gear” icon.
Select
+ New Notification
on the web portal or
Set up Doorbell Call Notification
on the mobile app.
Select
Doorbell Call
.
Name your notification.
Under
For the selected devices
, select the desired doorbell camera.
Set your notification time preferences.
Under the
Recipients
section, select
+ Add
.
In the
Address book
, select the recipients to notify or select
+ New
to add a new recipient.
Note
: Recipients can answer a doorbell call directly through a push notification. We recommended selecting
Push Devices
over an email or text message.
Verify the notification is set up correctly, then select
Save
when complete.
