TELUS Home Services Referral Program Terms and Conditions

Your privacy

All information collected by the referral form will be used for the purposes of the referral program only. Your privacy is important to TELUS. We have a long-standing policy of protecting the privacy of our customers in all of our business operations. Please visit for more information on the principles that govern the collection, use and disclosure of personal information. These principles reflect our continuing commitment to protecting our customers' privacy.

Further to the completion of the referral form by the person referred, the person who made the referral will be able to view the referred person’s first name and the first letter of their last name and the status of this referral, including pending claim date and confirmed claim date.

The Program adheres to all standards of TELUS Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

Terms and Conditions

The Referrer and Referee must accept these terms and conditions to participate in the Refer-a-Friend Program or TELUS Rewards Referral Program (the “Programs”):

  • TELUS may end the programs or change any of the terms at any time, without notice and without obligation to award any referral credits.
  • In order to be eligible to participate in the Referral Programs as a referrer (“Referrer”), you must be a TELUS Home Solutions customer with an active MyTELUS account and your account must be in good standing.
  • In order to be an eligible Referrer for the TELUS Rewards Referral Program, a customer must log into the TELUS Rewards portal and accept the terms and conditions of the TELUS Rewards program*
  • TELUS team members, contractors, sales representatives acting on TELUS's behalf and associates at retail locations who receive special pricing are excluded from these Programs.
  • The Programs are not available at authorized TELUS dealers, nor through at-home consultants.
  • All referrals must be made using the respective referral platform using your MyTELUS credentials.
  • Referrer can only refer his/her family members or close friends. Referrers cannot refer themselves.
  • “Referee” means the person who receives a referral offer by an existing TELUS customer in the context of the Programs.
  • The final decision pertaining to the eligibility of the Referrer and Referee is at TELUS’ sole discretion. TELUS has no obligation to contact the Referrer nor the Referee if TELUS concludes to the non-eligibility of one and/or the other
  • Referral codes can be used to purchase/subscribe to TELUS Home Services: Optik TV, Pik TV, Home Phone, Internet, SmartHome Security or SmartHub (the “Eligible Products”). The selection of Eligible Products may change from time to time, without prior notice.
  • Connected accessories, including smart watch and tablet are excluded from the Program
  • Standalone TELUS Online Security packages are excluded from the Program
  • After your family member/friend activates one or more eligible TELUS Service(s) (which include Optik TV, Pik TV, Home Phone, Internet, SmartHome Security or SmartHub), you will receive a $50 Gift Card** (Refer-a-Friend Program) or 50 TELUS Rewards points (TELUS Rewards Referral Program) (Refer-a-Friend Program) for each eligible TELUS service activated. Additional tiers of rewards might be available at TELUS’s sole discretion.
  • Referral rewards are limited to a value of $200 or 200 TELUS Rewards points per calendar year.These limits are exclusive to each unique referral program.
  • The Referee will receive a reward worth a minimum of $50 bill credit for each of the Eligible Products they sign up for once the service has been activated/installed.
  • In order to be eligible for these specific program rewards, your friend must use your unique link and place their orders through the Referral team.
  • The referral credit is not available for referring existing customers who are renewing their service contract with TELUS.
  • Referral credits will not be awarded for past activations where the new eligible product was not referred as per referral program terms.
  • Depending on your reward, receipt can vary. Once a referral has been successfully verified and installation is confirmed, the reward process will begin:
    • Referrer through the Refer-a-Friend program - $50 Gift Card: You can expect to receive your gift card within 4-6 weeks once the Referee’s new services have been successfully installed.
    • Referrer through the TELUS Rewards Referral program - TELUS Rewards points: You can expect to receive your TELUS Rewards points within 4-6 weeks once the Referee’s new services have been successfully installed.
    • Referee - Bill credit: You can expect to receive your bill credit on your monthly statement within 1 - 2 bill cycles following successful activation.
  • Referees of a Program cannot accept more than one referral offer at a time as part of these Programs. If a Referee receives multiple referral offers, a credit will be applied only to the account of the Referrer whose referral the Referee accepted through the Program.
  • You must be an active TELUS customer to receive and use your referral reward.
  • Referral credits are to be accepted as rewarded. They are not redeemable for cash, non-refundable and will not be paid out upon the termination or cancellation closure of a TELUS Home Services account
  • The referral credit value may vary by province. TELUS reserves the right to adjust the credit amount applied to your bill, if the province you selected prior to sending a referral differs from the province of your billing address.
  • TELUS assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, damaged or misdirected referrals or communications or for any failure of the website, for any problems or technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or referral to be received by TELUS on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to a your (or any other person's) computer related to or resulting from this program. TELUS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, cancel or suspend this program should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of TELUS, corrupt the security or proper administration of the program or for any other reason. Referrals are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are non-eligible, illegible, unintelligible, falsified, altered or tampered with or unlawful in any way. Referrals submitted by unauthorized means or by or to non-eligible individual(s) will be disqualified. In the event that TELUS is of the opinion that a referral has been made in a manner that contravenes these terms, you and all of your referrals will be disqualified from these programs and any referral credits will be canceled, or if already awarded they will be deducted. You agree to abide by the terms of this program and the decisions of the TELUS team, which are final. These programs are subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Credit provided is discretionary and includes applicable taxes (based on the taxes levied in the province of supply) therefore the value displayed on your bill is the value before tax.

*TELUS Rewards™ is available to new and existing customers that have a combination of two or more products including Home Phone, Home Internet, SmartHome Security, Optik TV, Pik TV and/or a linked/consolidated post-paid TELUS Mobility account. Only linked/consolidated post-paid TELUS Mobility accounts are eligible for the mobility points awarded each month. Rewards eligibility is subject to change without notice.
